AK The Menace

What is your profession?

I am the founder and owner of Four Seven Entertainment.

How did you get into the field that you are in today?

In my early childhood, I resided in numerous cities, inhibiting me from maintaining relationships. Living with a mother who was constantly working, an abusive father who was never home, and an older sister who became wrapped up in her social life, I was often alone with nothing but my thoughts. By age eleven, I was deep in depression, and those thoughts became grim. Struggling to cope, I discovered that music could be an escape. Out of all the artists I listened to, Kid Cudi's music impacted me the most. His music helped me realize that even if I didn't want to live for myself, I could live to help others by taking my love for music a step further. So, by age twelve, I began producing and recording music.

What do you love most about your profession?

I love the sense of community that comes with my profession. Interacting with people from diverse walks of life can expand your perspective and give you some of your best ideas—especially with those who share a common vision. I love being able to work in any city across the world and connect with people using the platform I've built. I want them to know that all my struggles made me who I am and that theirs will do the same.

Tell us more about what you do.

Over the years, I have evolved beyond music production and songwriting. In addition, I developed professional skills in videography, digital design, marketing, brand development, and management. Daily, I provide my services to upcoming and established artists to positively impact the entertainment industry. On February 25th, 2022, I released my debut album Rockout where I produced, wrote, recorded, engineered, and designed every aspect. Each song is unique and has a profound message that many people overlook.

When did you discover that you had a passion for this field?

Since I was a toddler, I have always loved music. By age five, I was already creating and singing original music. Sure it was terrible, but the passion never died. Even though my music catalog is mostly rap, I am influenced heavily by rock, soul, and other various genres.

Who in your field do you look up to?

As a child, I remember wanting to sing and dance like MJ and other legends of the past, but no one could ever seem to recreate their essence. So, I decided to take the path less traveled and stay authentic to who I am.
