What is your profession?
Im an entrepreneur and business owner. I own a barbershop salon called The Culture Shop where we showcase and sell art and clothing. I’m in a group with two of my brothers called the Humble ShowOffs.
How did you get into the field that you are in today?
Me and the bros dropped our first official album in 2016. We started making music in honor of our Big Sis Rest In Power Lola Lashellè
What do you love most about your profession?
Music is medicine for the soul. You can hit the booth and get the weight of the world off your shoulders. And you can motivate people around you. They see me and I’m a barber by trade but I’m letting people know no matter what you do to feed your family you can still purse your dream without the pressure of society’s image expectations.
Tell us more about what you do?
We have two albums Gold Bars and ShowOff SZN available on all platforms. The Culture is a brand, so In addition to the shop we have a food truck and catering business “A Little Taste Of Culture” all family ran and employed. And a Houston location coming soon California Rocket Kitchen
When did you discover that you had a passion for this field?
We did a couple mixtapes back in the day for our circle and when it dropped we got a lot of good feedback. People wanted more so we kept it going. Not looking for a deal just doing it for the love and if something pop, cool. If not, we good with the love of the people Who in your field do you look up... Tupac is my favorite of all time. Hov, Nipsey, Fabolous, Drake, J Cole, Bret Faiyaz. In the bay we got some real dope artist like Rex Life Raj, Larussel, Symba, Brownie Blendz, TroubleMaker. But I could also be inspired from a Muhammad Ali interview or a deep conversation. We draw inspiration from everywhere.
