Name
Mericha.
What is your profession?
I am a gospel recording artist, youth pastor, counselor, and communicator, using every gift God planted in me to build His people and point hearts back to Him through word, worship, and sound.
How did you get into the field that you are in today?
My journey began like a soft whisper from heaven. As a little girl, I found myself singing long before I understood what ministry truly was. The Lord kept placing me in spaces where my voice carried comfort, conviction, and hope. Over the years, He opened doors for music, radio, youth ministry, and speaking... all of it shaping the call I now walk in. It wasn't one big moment, but a series of gentle nudges from God that led me into the fields I labor in today.
What do you love most about your profession?
What I cherish most is watching God meet people right where they are. Whether through a song. a message, or a quiet conversation, seeing Him lift burdens, restore identity, and breathe peace into broken places is what makes everything worth it. I love being a vessel...nothing more, nothing less.
Tell us more about what you do?
I minister through music, speaking, mentorship, and creative expression. My days are spent pouring into youth across The Bahamas, hosting conversations on radio that uplift and challenge, writing to strengthen leaders, and creating music that stirs the soul. My calling is simple: to create spaces where God can come by here... and meet His people.
When did you discover that you had a passion for this field?
I discovered my passion the first time I felt God's presence move while I was singing. It was more than melody... it was ministry. That moment showed me that my voice wasn't just a talent but a tool. Over time, songs became my prayers, and ministry became my life's offering. Come By Here was birthed from that same place... a cry for God to dwell with us again.
Who in your field do you look up to...
I look up to those who carry both oil and integrity... worshipers who live what they sing. People like CeCe Winans, and Judith Christie-McAllister have shaped my understanding of true, spirit-led worship. I also honor the local psalmists and worship leaders in the Caribbean whose voices may never reach global charts but shake heaven every time they open their mouths.
