I am Anika, I go by Nibbz.
What is your profession?
My actual profession is cosmetology. However I always wanted to be a singer.
How did you get into the field that you are in today?
I got into Singing, about 10 years ago, I use to sing karaoke. My friends always said that I was an amazing singer. So I got up one day and was like I am an amazing singer, I am going to write my own songs. So I did.
What do you love most about your profession?
What I love most about being a Singer is that I can actually put my message into a song. The words that I write down are more then profound, they can reach your soul. Also the recording process is pretty amazing, so hear it all come together is beautiful work or art.
Tell us more about what you do?
When it comes to making money I do hair. I cater to only Men and Kids. Where I am from they don't have a place where both can get there hair done in safe environment. So I created a space where parents and pleased and men are comfortable to come and get there hair done. I mostly braid. But it more then just shampooing and braiding hair. My clients look up to me and hang on my every word of advice I give them. So that what I do.
When did you discover that you had a passion for this field?
I discovered that I had passion for Singing from when I was a child, even though I didn't know how I was going to be come one I just never gave up the passion for Singing. I always knew that my passion would make room for me one day... It just was waiting on me to make up my mind.
Who in your field do you look up...
In this field of Artistry, I don't look up to anyone. Because I plan on being the example for people to look up too.
I am Big Nibbz the Goddess. All my life I had to be the mature one so why not take up that mantle and show people how it suppose to be done.
