Name

Rah Foreign Artist

What is your profession?

I grew up close to different sounds of music. Being a Dominican from the Bronx NY, from an early age I was exposed to a lot of Hispanic music. I used to be one of those baby’s talking a nap in the room of a house party with a pile of coats next to me lol. I didn’t envision making music until I was in my early teens and frequented music studios with my older brother. I just fell in love with creating a vision into something you could share with others.

How did you get into the field that you are in today?

I would say I love the expression of music the most when it comes to being an artist. Just being able to express myself in an artistic way, whether it be anger, joy, pain or just standing on what I stand on, music allows me to do that.

What do you love most about your profession?

Tell us more about what you do? I been making music for about 5 years on and off. I just never shared any songs because I wanted it to be perfect. I still don’t feel like my music is where I want it to be - but I realized being an artist is about growing with your supporters. And we only going up from here!

When did you discover that you had a passion for this field?

I realized I had a passion for music when I was going through a rough time in my life shortly after losing my mom at a young age. I quickly realized that using music as an outlet helped me deal with a lot of the things I was going through.

Who in your field do you look up...

I mean this industry is filled with Pride so when it comes to mine I ain’t putting nothing aside. Don’t get me wrong, I’m great full for a lot of the greats and the pioneers who have made it easier for people like myself to come in the game but other than that I only look up to my higher self.
