I am a upcoming rap artist from Cleveland, Ohio
How did you get into the field that you are in today?
Growing up, I was always interested in music and music theory. My mother always played soul and R&B music around me as a child. As I grew up I became infatuated with lyricists and the way they use their words to express what they feel, tell a story, or to just talk their mess. I often wrote poems as a child and eventually, those poems evolved into songs.
What do you love most about your profession?
I love the freedom of expression and to spread my wings of creativity at my own pace. Feeling pressured with something that you love to do can make it feel as if it were a tiring job and that is why making music as an independent artist is so beautiful.
Tell us more about what you do?
I am a recording artist, song writer, producer, vocalist, business owner, and local volunteer.
When did you discover that you had a passion for this field?
I discovered I had a passion in this field while in high school. As a freshman, there were other artists that were in higher grades than I was who inspired me to make music and experiment with something bigger than myself. Artists like Savion Al-Jaleel, Rahkstar, RioTheRager showed me that I can start small and elevate my game behind close doors and show that the proof truly is in the pudding.
Who in your field do you look up.. I look up to a plethora of rap artists like J. Cole, Kendrick, Drake, Kanye West, Nas, Lil Wayne, Andre 3000, Denzel Curry, JID, Future and so much more. There is so much talent in the rap industry, let alone the music industry itself.
