What is your profession?
I am a Rapper, Entrepreneur and Speaker
How did you get into the field that you are in today?
I survived brain-cancer twice by 18. When life looked dim and I wanted out, Poetry and Hip-Hop saved my life. I want to give back to the artform that gave me something to fight for.
What do you love most about your profession?
You can move people with your words physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It is the impact that you can have with your music is what drives me to create everyday.
Tell us more about what you do?
Since realizing that I could die any minute and that the time we have is short, I try to chase my potential with urgency. Personal development became a big part of my life and through looking within, it allows me to build businesses amd create jobs and ultimately help people through music, entrepreneurship, public speaking, etc.
When did you discover that you had a passion for this field?
When I was 16 years old in high school right after surviving my first fight with cancer. At the time I was writing poems to express myself and my friend, Robert Collins introduced me to a hip hop group called Welfare Records. When I learned about the root of the artform, the greats that built the foundation of the genre moved me to my core and I've been hooked ever since.
Who in your field do you look up...
Eminem, Common, Nas, J Cole and so many others who make impactful music.
