What is your profession?
I’m an independent recording artist, songwriter, and performer, and the founder of BrizzyMuzik — a creative brand and music company that blends hip-hop, R&B/soul, and jazz into one cohesive, authentic sound.
How did you get into the field that you are in today?
After years of living life, serving in the military, and soaking in every sound from the streets to the stage, I realized I had stories worth telling. I turned to music as a way to give voice to those experiences — and it evolved into a passion, a platform, and a purpose.
What do you love most about your profession?
I love the freedom to express truth with rhythm and soul. There’s nothing like blending a jazz chord with a hip-hop groove or a soulful lyric and watching it resonate with someone who needed to hear it.

As WillSouliii, I create music that’s rooted in storytelling and emotion — a mix of hip-hop’s grit, soul’s heart, and jazz’s depth. Through BrizzyMuzik, I develop original music, produce visual content, and build experiences that move people on more than one level. It’s all about making music you can feel.
When did you discover that you had a passion for this field?
I always felt the music in me, but it truly came alive when I started performing and connecting with people through my lyrics. That moment when someone says, “Your song spoke to me” — that’s when I knew this was bigger than me.
Who in your field do you look up to...
I look up to artists like Common, Jill Scott, The Roots, and Little Brother — musicians who weave substance into their sound, stay true to their roots, and honor the legacy of Black music through every bar, hook, and verse.
